The digital transformation has long since reached the public sector. Mastering the digital transformation is not only a technical challenge, but also a question of successful human resources and organizational development.

Based on the research results of the GeoSmartChange project, the new ifi brochure "Successfully shaping the digital transformation of local government" therefore offers a compact introduction to the fundamentals and success factors of municipal digital change management.

Using the practical example of the introduction of a municipal digital twin to simplify and accelerate planning and approval processes, the brochure presents the most important implementation steps as well as practical tips and tricks for the successful implementation of digital change processes. The brochure builds on established methodological knowledge that has been validated by empirical accompanying research in practice and tailored to the framework conditions of public administration.
