Geo2Spain – Training services in the field of near-surface geothermal energy in Spain

Subproject ifi: Analysis of promoting and inhibiting conditions for the export of further education services

The Spanish heat pump market is considered as "emerging market". About 10,000 ground coupled heat pumps are installed so far. Qualified personnel is a key prerequisite for further market development. However, geothermal training and further education below academic levels (for drilling personnel and planners) is only beginning to exist.

The Geo2Spain project is responding to this need by developing dual training programmes (blended learning) for near-surface geothermal energy on the Spanish market.

The Institute for Innovation Research and Management at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences is responsible for the project's scientific monitoring and the transfer of results to other sectors. For this purpose promoting and inhibiting conditions for the export of further education services are analyzed and systemized.
